Many people like to look out over Megamalai from Maharaja Mettu. Part of the Meghamalai tour Packages, it is one of the places you must see in Megamalai. It is at Vennial Tea Estate.

From Maharaja Mettu, people can see the whole mountain range of the Varusanadu Hills, the lush tea gardens and the Cumbum Valley. From the lookout point, the view of endless grass paired with Rocky Mountains is beautiful. The Maharaja Mettu is one of the best Meghamalai tourist places.

The path to the lookout point kept going around the tea plantations. To get to the viewpoint from the road, one has to walk about 400 m. The Tamil Nadu Forest Department cares for the area, so tourists must pay to get into the viewpoint. From that point, the view of the fields covered in clouds and fog was stunning. People also might see some wild elephants in the nearby areas.

The uniqueness of Maharaja Mettu:

•    The views of the place are beautiful. The views are lovely in all directions, with nature all around it. The hills and the tea gardens provide worth-watching views.

•    The beautiful nature will surely make people feel good. Tourists also get the chance to see a few animals like elephants. The place is a natural paradise.

•    The place is a short walk from the starting point to the viewpoint. The short journey is also beautiful and fun. The trek is accessible to everyone.

Things to remember

You can't buy things or eat at the viewpoint itself, but you can bring lunch and eat while taking in the view. Remember to bring water and snacks because there are a few options nearby.

The viewpoint is open all year, but from July to September, when it rains a lot, it looks even more beautiful. The scenery is lush greenery, and the misty mountains give it an almost magical feel.

It is the best place for people who want to see nature from close. The place is worth including in the tour. Beautiful views and a bit of history come together in this place to make for a truly royal experience.
