The Drung Waterfall is a trendy tourist attraction in the Tangmarg tehsil of Gulmarg, Baramulla. The waterfall has so many beautiful mountains around it. During the winter, it freezes over entirely because it is so cold. You have to see this frozen waterfall during the Kashmir tour package.

The water from the beautiful glaciers mixes with the water from the falling waterfall to make a breathtaking sight. This is a peaceful place to spend time in the summer, taking in the views of the waterfall, lakes, streams, and lush grass and exploring the caves. Drung waterfall is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Gulmarg.

The area is even more breathtaking during winter when everything is frozen. The waterfall freezes as it comes down, making icicles. Even the lakes and streams freeze over, but they can still be reached, and if you're brave enough, you can have fun in the icy water. People can enjoy tea and snacks at different stands while enjoying the beautiful views. Somewhere nearby is also a small temple.

Activities at the Drung Waterfall

Going on an ATV ride is something that a lot of people like to do.

Another fun winter activity is sledding. Someone from the area will pull you in the snow on a wooden sled, mostly up and down a slope. Some people enjoy riding the sled, but I'm not really into it.

The best time to visit 

January and February are the best months to go to Drung Waterfall. At this point, the waterfall is frozen solid. There is a lot of snow, and the area looks like a white dream.

Winter comes to Kashmir in October, but it's not cold enough for the waterfall to freeze. The valley will still look like fall, but the waterfall will not be frozen as you would expect in Drung. It will freeze a little in the second half of November, both in the water and on the rock face.
