Jammu and Kashmir have two capitals: Srinagar, which is in the summer, and Jammu, which is in the winter. From May to October, the capital is Srinagar. From November to April, the capital is Jammu. About one hundred years ago, the Dogra King started doing this.
Jammu also has its airport, which is only 8 kilometres southwest of the city. At the moment, Srinagar does not have a railway stop.
