Shimla is the largest city of Himachal Pradesh and is also its capital. The city is famous in name of ‘Shimla’ (After Shyamala Devi who was a Hindu goddess). Without any doubt, there are many places to visit in Shimla.

Shimla is the only place in Asia to have a natural ice skating rink. The ice skating competition begins in December and continues until February. A Winter Sports Festival is organized at the Ridge.
