It is advisable to visit Vishansar Lake between June and September. The Neelum River starts at Krishnasar Lake and the mountains and flows into the lake. During the winter, the lake freezes, but during summer, it becomes green. The lake is at a high elevation, and people can reach it by hiking or pony riding. Another route is through Nichnai Pass.
