About Sulthan Bathery

Around 99 kilometers from Kozhikode and 26 kilometers from Kalpetta, Sulthan Bathery is a charming town in Wayanad Kerala. It is lodged at a height of 930 meters and is bedecked with spice plantations. The erstwhile name of this place was Sulthans Bathery as Tipu used the Jain Temple as a storage house for his ammunition. The other names of Sulthan Bathery were Ganapativattom and Kidanganadu.

Jain Temple

Positioned on the Highway Bangalore-Calicut, the temple dates back to the 13th century and is one of the major attractions here. Tipu Sultan, the Emperor of Mysore used it to store his ammunition when he invaded Kerala.
