About Pookode Lake

Distanced at 13 kilometers from Kalpetta, Pookode Lake looks charming with its evergreen woods and sloppy verdant slopes. The whole view at the site is breath-taking. The Panamaram rivulet starts from Pookode Lake and is one of Kabini River’s main tributaries. The rivulet then flows down into the valley of Panamaram. A star attraction at this lake is its freshwater aquarium that houses several species of fish. It mainly draws kids from far and near.
