Gingee Fort is a very beautiful fort located in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. It is believed that the fort was constructed during 1190 AD by Ananta Kon. However, different types of modifications were done in the fort during the 13th century.

This Fort is constructed on three Hillrocks. The names of the three Hill rocks are Krishnagiri, Rajagiri, and Ananda Kon. 

The beautiful Gingee Fort has a very mesmerizing architecture. Not only this, but when you look at the scenery of the surroundings, it's really breathtaking. According to the Archaeological Survey of India, the Fort has been considered as a monument for national importance. 

Among the three Hill tops, Rajagiri consists of the Kalyana Mahal. Krishnagiri Hill is known for its military architecture. You can find different Gates at this place.
