The Horsley Hills Zoo is great for animal fans, especially families with young children. It is in the beautiful Horsley Hills of Andhra Pradesh. This cute zoo isn't a vast wildlife refuge, but it's a great place to see a lot of different animals and take a break from hiking in the hills.

What Animals Can Be Found in Horsley Hills Zoo?

The Horsley Zoo is in a small park under the Forestry Department. The zoo doesn't have a vast collection of strange animals, but you can see some interesting ones there. Among the residents are:

•    Playful primates: You can watch monkeys swing through the cages. The funny things they do are sure to keep kids entertained.
•    Birds of color: Peacocks and parrots bring color to the zoo with their bright feathers and loud songs.
•    The spotted deer and other herbivores can be seen grazing happily in their enclosures.
•    Snakes on display: Get a better look at these exciting animals by watching crocodiles and other snakes.

How large is the Zoo?

It's easy for families with young children or guests with only a little to get around the Horsley Zoo because it's not too big. The well-kept paths make it easy to stroll past the animal cages. Signs with information about each species make the walk more enjoyable.

The miniature zoo is also advantageous—it has a calmer environment than more prominent zoos. Looking at the animals doesn't feel rushed so that you can take your time.

Horsley Hills has a lot to offer, and the Horsley Hills Zoo is just one of them. While exploring the zoo, watch for the impressive Kalyani Eucalyptus tree, which is more than 160 years old.

In Horsley Hills, there are more places to visit besides the zoo. For example, the Gali Bandalu (Wind Rocks) offers excellent views, or you can take a short hike to the Kanchenga Waterfall. The Horsley Hills Zoo is another great place to see on one of the Horsley Hills tour packages.
