Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary

The Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary is in the Kuppam and Palmaner Ranges of the Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh. It is the only sanctuary in Andhra Pradesh where you can find a group of Asian elephants. They were said to have returned after 200 years in 1984 (Prasad and Reddy 2002).
