Siddharth Garden and Zoo History

From 1984 to 1986, the aurangabad municipal corporation (amc) was responsible for the creation of Siddharth Garden and Zoo. In its early days, the 14 acres of land were home to a modest zoo. They built this zoo mainly to protect wild animals in the area and to give people a place to see them.

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation expanded Siddharth Garden and Zoo in accordance with resolution no.574, which was approved at the 2014 Master Plan, and the Corporation's general body meeting. They expanded it to 34 acres by adding land from the garden side to create enough space for animal enclosures.
