Odisha's Barabati Stadium in Cuttack is an ancient venue. It is used to host limited overseas internationals with the national cricket team. They run the ground for the Odisha Cricket Association. There are also other sports games, like football with the Santosh Trophy. The Barabati Stadium is one of the best places to visit in Cuttack. 

Before its first international match, Barabati Stadium had played home-to-tour games for MCC, West Indies, and Australia. The stadium has floodlights and organises many ODI and T20 matches day and night. Kapil Dev's 300th wicket was the most memorable event on this field.

History of the stadium 

The field has been the site of more than 20 international games as of February 2019. Since it rains or is too rough, there are only two test matches. Also, the travelling side doesn't like the accommodations and doesn't want to drive the hour to and from Bhubaneswar. 

The venue has been great for the Indian national cricket team in the last few years. In the 50-over format, the Men in Blue have not lost there in more than 15 years. Not long ago, over 740 runs were made in an ODI match between India and England, one of the most exciting games ever played in the stadium. The field has always been good for hitters. 

The Indian T20 League teams from Kolkata and Hyderabad have also played on this field. With the addition of more hotels and better catering for visiting teams, we hope that the stadium will only get better from now on.
