Nagarjuna Sagar Dam 

Engineers built the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam across the River Krishna in Nalgonda District, making it the world's biggest masonry dam. The authorities protect it with 26 gates, each 14 meters high and 13 meters wide. The dam can hold nearly 11,472 million cubic meters of water and irrigate 10 acres of land. 

The dam is 150 meters high and 16 kilometres long. It is also a popular place to visit in Nagarjuna Sagar. As part of the Green Revolution, it was one of the first irrigation projects the Indian government started.
