Kashid Beach

Kashid Beach is on the Arabian Sea, about 30 km from Alibaug and 125 km from Mumbai to the north. Travelers admire Kashid as one of the cleanest beaches in north Konkan and praise it for its beautiful white sand. Surrounded by Casuarina trees along its 3 km stretch, it is also one of the most peaceful places to visit in Alibaug.

Activities at Kashid Beach

People who like thrills will love jet skiing, a fast and fun water sport where you ride a motorized water scooter across the waves.

Groups enjoy banana boat rides as they sit on an inflatable banana-shaped boat while a speedboat pulls it across the water. Often, the ride ends with a splash in the water.

Like riding a parachute, you're harnessed and pulled by a boat while parasailing. You get a great view of the beach and water.

Camp: You can set up your camp near the beach and spend the night enjoying the stars, the sea breeze, and the peace of nature.

Horseback riding—riding along the beach on a horse is a fun and relaxed activity that kids and adults enjoy.

Swimming and Sunbathing: You can swim in the clean, shallow water and lay back and soak up the sun on the soft white sand.

Camping at the Beach

Best Time to Visit Kashid Beach

The beach is most fun from November to February when the weather is nice. Only a few hotels are nearby, but you can stay in houses that locals have set up. Many Alibaug tour packages also include stays at such local homestays for a more authentic experience.

How to Reach Kashid Beach?

Since Kashid Beach is close to Mumbai, Pune, and Alibaug, it is easy to get there by car from all three cities. People traveling from other places use Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Mumbai), the closest airport. To get to the beach, take a taxi to Alibaug from here. If you want to take the train, Roha and Panvel are the nearest stations.

You can also take a boat from Gateway of India (Mumbai) to Alibaug during the non-monsoon season. From there, buses to the beach run frequently. You can also take a bus from Mumbai or Pune to Kashid Beach.
