History of the Arulmigu Thiruvallikeni Parthasarathy Temple

The Alikeni Temple, located in Tamil Nadu, is a sacred site that houses Lord Vishnu in the form of Parthasarathy, Arjuna's charioteer in the Kurukshetra war of the Mahabharata. Built-in the 8th century by the Pallavas and resurrected by the Vijayanagara Kings in the 11th century, it is believed to have been founded by King Narasimhavarman I.
