Kinnera Sani Dam

Kinnera Sani Dam is in the district of Khammam in Telangana, specifically in Yanambile. It is located inside the Kinnera Sani Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the notable places to visit in Bhadrachalam.

As one of the major streams that flows into the Godavari River, the Kinnera Sani Dam was built in 1966 on the Kinnera Sani River. The dam gives water to the Palvoncha Kothagudem Thermal Power Station so that it can make electricity. Lift watering also helps farmers in the area with their watering needs.

The area around Kinnera Sani Dam is lovely, with lots of trees and nature all around. The Singareni Collieries built a Glass House at Kinnera Sani, which has made the area more appealing to tourists. Near the beautiful Kinnera Sani dam site is a deer park with a little more than 80 spotted deer. This is the main draw for tourists. The huge Kinnera Sani pond is home to many crocodiles and other animals that live in water. In the middle of the pond, there are a few islands where different kinds of animals live.
