History of Padmapuram Gardens

Soldiers in World War II could get veggies from the garden built in 1942 on a 26-acre plot of land. After the war, it became a Horticultural Nursery and Training Center. The garden has farms, rare flower and tree species, houses, and stone sculptures.

During the Second World War, the garden was built so men could grow vegetables while fighting. Back then, it was just a Botanical Garden. But now the gardens are used for much more than just increasing veggies.
