What is the origin of Chashme Shahi water?

Chashme Shahi water comes from a spring in Srinagar, Kashmir, that runs through the middle of Chashme Shahi Garden. The spring was first called "Chashme Sahibi," the family name of Rupa Bhawani, a famous Islamic woman saint who found it. Over time, the name was changed to Chashme Shahi, where "Chashma" means spring.

History of Cheshmashahi 

The park was built around the spring of 1632 by Ali Mardan Khan, the Mughal Governor. King Shah Jahan of the Mughals had it made for his oldest son, Dara Sikoh. To the east of Chashma Shahi is the Pari Mahal, also known as the "Fairy Palace." This is where Dara Sikoh learned of the stars.

The garden covers an acre of land and is 108 m long and 38 m wide. The Shalimar Garden is the biggest, and the Nishat Garden is the second largest of Srinagar's three Mughal gardens. The three gardens were all made on the right side of Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Range mountains in the background.

Structure of Garden

The water from the natural spring runs through the three-level garden called Chashme Shahi. On the top of the yard's terrace, there is a two-story hut.
