History of Lal chowk
In 1947, Lal chowk became a very disputed place in the partition. The conflict happened was many years, and various attacks happened because of that. For a large part of the time, the area was under curfew. Because of that, the place lagged behind in the development process also. But, when everything was sorted, many measures were taken to redevelop the site. Now, tourists can go to this place to see the rich local heritage. Along with that, they can even do local shopping.
Best time to visit
You can visit Lal chowk throughout the year. However, it is advised to visit the place during the summer months. The temperature will be enjoyable during this time, and you don’t have to worry about too many warm clothes. However, if you want to travel during winter, you will be advised to go from September to November.
