Located towards the bank of Sharavathi River, this temple is a pilgrimage centre for the Dakshina Kannada. It tends to attract a large number of devotees of around 1 million per year.

Idagunji Ganapati temple is open for the devotees from the 6 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 8:30 pm. Visiting around 7 am to 11 am can witness the Abhisheka- the holy bath to the Lord Ganesha.
