What is the history of Parsi Point?

The first British visitor came to Mahabaleshwar in the mid-1800s. The place became their summer capital in the Bombay presidency, and the British visited during summer to escape the heat. It quickly became popular with British officials and gentry because of its cool weather and beautiful views.

Some say that Parsi Point was named after the Parsi people visiting this area when Mahabaleshwar started becoming a hill town. The Parisians loved to have picnics there, and that love has only grown over time, keeping its history alive.
