It is a popular hill station in Maharashtra, close to Mahabaleshwar, that is famous for its beautiful valley views and many places to watch the sun go down and rise. It is 1,334 meters above sea level and is also popular as Panchgani. The city gets its name from the five hills that make up the Sahyadri mountain ranges. A beautiful view is made possible by the hills on one side and the coastal lands on the other. The cities of Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani are a lot alike.
