In North Sikkim, Tso Lhamo Lake is a glacial lake located past Gurudongmar Lake. The Tso Lhamo Lake is the highest in India and the 14th largest lake in the world. It is 17,490 feet above sea level and is one of the must-visit places to visit in Lachen.
This lake goes by the names of Cho Lhamo, Cholamu Lake, and Cholamoo Lake. The international line with China falls 4 kilometers southwest of the lake. Best Time to Visit Tso Lhamo Lake
Between October and November is the best time to visit Cholamu Lake because the sky is clear at that time of year. Most of the roads would be washed away by the rain right after the monsoons, and the Border Roads Organization (BRO) would be busy fixing them up. That's not a good time to visit this lake, but you can explore it through Lachen tour packages.
