Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Temple is a holy Temple in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. The naval part of the Goddess fell at this place, and then it led to one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple is of major importance among Hindus.

The architecture of the Temple

The temple has been covered in an area of 5 acres. When you enter the temple, you will find a large Gopuram at the temple entrance. Inside the temple, you will find different Mandapams or halls also. You can see all over the place very beautiful architecture and carvings have been done.

It is always advised to go at 6:00 a.m. as you will find very few crowds during that time. Every day, four times prayers happen inside the temple. So, in case you cannot go during the morning, you can also go during these hours.
