Regarded as one among the top places to visit in Ooty, the twin lakes by the names of Avalanche and Emerald are main crowd pullers. They are located about 40 kilometers from the town of Ketti, and attract a large number of visitors every day. The lakes are surrounded by lush green woods.

Regarded as one of the most attractive Ooty tourist places, the Ketti Valley is also home to one of a kind needle making industry. Needles, called Pony Needles are manufactured at Ketti and nowhere else in the country.
