From the hustle and bustle of India's capital, the quiet, calm Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah is situated right at its heart. This is the place believed to restore an individual's calm and peace. Delhi is among the most interesting and historic cities in the country. You have places to party all night and tourist spots and forts that make people happy. In this way, the Hazrat Nizamuddin is a great example of the second type.

There are brick-red walls and white roofs on top of the buildings. Ten thousand people visit this place every week. Hazrat Nizamuddin is a popular place to visit in Delhi.

Why is Hazrat famous?

The Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah in Delhi, India, is well-known for its spirituality, design, music, and historical importance.

•    The dargah is historically important because it is the burial place of the Sufi saint Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya (1238–1325 CE). It also has links to the lives of other famous Sufi saints and artists.

•    Architecture: They built the dargah in the 14th century in the Islamic style. It has a square base with a dome-shaped roof.

•    People come to the dargah to hear qawwali music in the evenings.

•    Faith: The dargah is a beautiful place to learn about history, architecture, music, and religion all at the same time.

Who is buried at Nizamuddin Dargah?

Many years ago, between 1238 and 1325 CE, a Sufi saint named Khawaja Nizamuddin Auliya lived and was buried at Hazrat Nizamuddin. He was a saint of the Chishti order, a firm believer in God, and someone who wanted to spread love and kindness all over the area. The Nizamuddin Auliya Mazar is another name for it in Delhi. The tomb is in Nizamuddin, in the South Delhi area.

King Muhammad Bin Tughlaq of the Tughlaq family built it in 1325. He was a big fan of Khawaja Sahib. Later, Firuz Shah Tughlaq fixed up the building and hung four golden cups from the dome's hollow. Faridun Khan built the dome, which is about six meters in diameter, in 1562. The building has had many additions made over the years that have only made it look better. The Nizamuddin is worth visiting during the Delhi tour package.

What is Hazrat Nizamuddin's old name?

Syed Muhammad Nizamuddin Auliya is one of the most famous Sufi saints from the Indian subcontinent. He was a Sunni Muslim teacher and Sufi saint of the Chishti Order. Other names for him were Hazrat Nizamuddin and Mahbub-e-Ilahi, which means "Beloved of God."
