Recent digs in the Narmada valley have found Rajasaurus Narmadensis, a carnivorous abelisauroid theropod dinosaur. It lived there during the Cretaceous period, also known as the 'K-period'. The K-period existed between the Jurassic Period (145 million years ago) and the Paleogene Period (66 million years ago). 

The bones of these animals were excavated from the Lameta Formation. They were found in Gujarat, Western India, where they most likely lived in what is now the Narmada Valley.
