The Ekta Nursery & Handicrafts is on Tyagi Ghat in Gora village, which is close to Kevadia town. It is one of the projects that the Kevadia Tourism Circuit has worked on. It is one of the best places to visit in Kevadia

The idea for Ekta Nursery & Handicrafts came from Shri Narendra Modi, the honourable prime minister. It is in dedication to the Statue of Unity to the nation. He suggested turning Ekta Nursery into a tourist spot to teach people how to be more eco-friendly. The Ekta Nursery is a must-visit during the Kevadia tour package.

It focuses on many traditional eco-friendly goods, such as Bamboo Craft, Organic Pots, Ceramic Pots, Tribal Life, Tribal Tea, and more. A training and display place for bonsai has been set up. It is for people to learn about the art of making small versions of forest giants.

Plants at Ekta Nursery

One million plants grow at Ekta Nursery, which represents the main idea of unity that runs through Kevadia. The garden also grows plants and sells them. Tourists can see the ethnic tribe culture of the area in the middle of the nursery by a tribal hut filled with items that the people who live there use. The nursery also has a canteen where you can get food. The Herbal Tribal Tea is one of the best things they serve.

Most of the things that happen here are under the self-help groups of women from towns near Kevadia. The place helps people in improving their lives. It also helps them in their jobs.

The place is also very beautiful. It is in a valley along with the beautiful Vindyachal and Satpura mountain ranges, right next to the Narmada River. From where you stand at the nursery, you can see the world's largest statue in all its glory.

Other activities

In the middle of the nursery, there is a show of the ethnic and tribal culture of the area. Visitors can see examples of native culture in a tribe hut that is full of the things that the locals use. The Gujarat Forest Development Corporation and the Cottage & Rural Industries Department have set up and are running gift shops.

The nursery also has a cafeteria for visitors to have delicious tribal foods for guests. Especially Herbal Tribal Tea, which is available only in this area. This project helps to improve people's lives by giving them jobs and pushing for social progress.
