The Chinaman waterfall falls 500 feet from a high point into a deep valley. The waterfall comes from two different places and then combines into one stream. The peaceful settings and beautiful waterfalls make this place at the top of the Venna Valley a great place to spend a holiday.

From Babbington Point, you can see the falls, and from Valley View Resort, it's about 2 km to the top of the falls. It's not possible to visit Mahabaleshwar without seeing the amazing Chinaman's Waterfall. People from China used to take care of the grounds near the falls. This is how the waterfall got its name, Chinaman's Waterfall.

Breathtaking Views of the Waterfall and Valley

The valley has beautiful scenes from the very beginning of the hike that are fun to look at and take pictures of. When you get to the falls, you can relax and enjoy the view of the valley. If you want to see the Western Ghats at their most beautiful, you should visit the falls during the rains.

The waterfall comes from two different places and then combines into one stream. The peaceful settings and beautiful waterfalls make this one of the best places to visit in Mahabaleshwar. Being at the very top of the Venna Valley, it is magical to see the water run from such a vast height.

Surrounded by Lush Greenery and Rocky Terrain

A lot of lush plants circle Chinaman Waterfall, which makes it look even more beautiful. Babbington Point, which is close by, is a great place to see this gorgeous waterfall. It's lovely to see the waterfall set against the background of thick woods and rolling hills.

The nearby hills and forests get lush and green again, making for stunning views. The weather is nice and cool. However, it is often cloudy or misty. This adds to the mysterious feel of the place.

Best time to Visit

June to September is the monsoon season. This is when the waterfall is most excellent because the water flow is at its strongest. The scenery is lush and colourful.
