While running a business making strawberry jam with fresh fruit from local farmers, he wanted to help them. The business plan worked well for everyone, leading to the 1978 start of the Mapro brand.
In the 1980s, Mapro Garden made the Mapro Food Factory bigger. People enjoyed watching the process of making jams and syrups in plants. Because people kept coming back, they decided to serve their other foods, like the popular frozen cream.
