About Munnar

Positioned amidst the lush tea plantations and green landscape of the Western Ghats, the quaint hill station of Munnar is the world’s largest commercial center as far as tea estates are concerned. Cochin is only 127 kilometers away and encapsulates everyone with its charming climate. The hill station is a popular picnic spot as the landscape is bestowed with natural features like waterfalls, streams, temples and amazing wildlife. 

Tourists from all over the country and world come to Munnar to explore its endemic wildlife that comprises of Nilgiri Tahr and the rarest of the rare species of flower called Neelakurinji. This pretty blue coloured flower blooms once in 12 years only in the NILGIRI belt of this region, and draws a huge number of visitors. Some of the most popular places to visit in Munnar are Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, waterfalls like Power House and Valara, Malankara Dam, Eravikulam National Park and a slew of other spots that are all mesmerizing and must to be seen.
