Moti Bagh is a famous botanical garden on the Junagadh Agricultural University campus. It's one of the best places to visit in Junagadh.

The park has so many types of bushes and plants. Aside from the land, a lake within Moti Baug, Pari Talav, provides a surreal view of the entire garden. Moti Bagh offers a peaceful environment that is not easy to see anywhere else in the city.

It is typical to see folks going for early walks and jogs. There are various playgrounds and rest spots where one can spend time with family and friends. The Bagh is a must visit during the Junagadh tour package.

Why is Moti Bagh famous?

Moti Baug in Junagadh is both a botanical garden and a university. The park is famous for its peaceful environment and morning and evening walks. It also contains a tiny pond named "Pari Talav."

Some say Moti Baug is a well-kept park, most likely part of the local agricultural university. The locals also say it is a perfect place for jogging and exercise. It also has a pond and banyan and other trees around it.

What is the history of the Bagh?

Moti Bagh is famous for its luscious foliage and luxuriant gardens. Nawab Muhammad Mahabat Khanji III of Junagadh created it commemorating his dog Moti. In 1960, a portion of this garden was used to build Junagadh Agriculture College.

The garden covers an area of 2,485 hectares, including the 754.62 hectares of the Agricultural University of Junagadh's campus and botanical garden. Currently, the entire scope of this garden is divided into 17 sub-centers, which employ about 1500 people.

Recently, the Gujarat government has been focusing on tourism growth in Junagadh. The Apoorva Garden Moti Baug, located around the 19th-century palace, has been preserved and marketed as a recreational area for tourists and residents.
