Since the town was once the home of the Junagadh Princely State, it is full of historical sites worth seeing. The Girnar Hills and the famous Gir National Park are also very close to Junagadh. The Sakkabaug Zoo and the Wildlife Museum let you see animals from the wild. Another place to see is the Girnar Hills, which have a peaceful and holy feel. Baba Pyare Caves

It is close to the Modhimath caves, which have four caves in their northern group. The next caves in the south group are all one big room with a court and a chaitya hall. These cave walls and door jambs display the art style from the Satavahana period, dating back to the first to second century AD. These are 45-meter (150-foot) deep cuts in the rock that are decorated with images of Buddhist symbols. These caves are in better shape than the Khapara Kodia caves. Bhavnath Mahadev Temple

The Bhavnath Mahadev Mandir is an old Hindu temple in the village of Bhavnath, which is close to Junagadh. It is one of the most well-known churches in Gujarat and one of the best places to visit in Junagadh. It is set at the base of Mount Girnar. People with religious interests visit the place all year, but during Maha Shivaratri and "Girnar Lili Parikrama," more people come than at any other time. The Bhavnath Fair, a five-day event held in honour of "Maha Shivaratri," takes place between late February and early March.

Datar Hills Junagadh

Dataar Hills in Junagadh, Gujarat, is a revered site famous for the shrine of Jamiyal Shah Datar at the mountain's peak. People of both Hinduism and Islam pray at the site. The shrine is also a popular tourist spot because it has a beautiful view of the town below. People put on a big show for the Urs celebration. Girnar Ashoka Rock Edicts

A literal edict is a law or order that a government agency gives. One of the most important people in Indian history is King Ashoka. After a life of war and other violent activities, he gave up his throne and became a Buddhist in heart. Girnar Hills

Hindus participate in Girnar Parikrama every year, a huge event. More than 10 lakh people come to Girnar to join in the procession. The sadhus and visitors start and end their journey at the Bhavanat Temple. This event occurs on the eleventh day of the Hindu month of Kartik. This parade is what keeps Junagarh's business going. Junagadh Museum / Darbar Hall Museum

The beautiful Darbar Hall Museum, once the palace where the rulers of Junagadh lived, now displays the delicate belongings of the 19th-century Nawabs. Many halls of the museum display palatial rooms, commodities, arms, palanquins, pictures, photographs, and other materials that reflect richness and significance. It is a must-see among the places to visit in Junagadh. 

Khapara Kodiya Caves

The so-called "Buddhist Caves" near Uparkot are not caves. Instead, they are three separate locations where people carved rooms out of stone to serve as monks' living spaces. They are around 2000 years old, give or take a few hundred years. These are the oldest and most basic of caves. They were formed between the 3rd and 4th century AD. There was once a lake in times long past called Sudarshan that is no longer there. These caves are on the northern side of Uparkot. These caves are included in several Junagadh tour packages for history enthusiasts.

Mahabat Maqbara

Mahabat Maqbara is a tomb that is also known as the tomb of Bahaduddnbhai Hasainbhai. It is one of the most important places to visit in Junagadh because of its unique architecture. The Maqbara is in the Bahaduddnbhai Hasainbhai Maqabra and holds Mohabbat Khanji's and Bahaduddin Hasainbhai's tombs. It was constructed in the late 1800s. It has beautifully carved stone pillars wal, ls, and windows.

Moti Baug Junagadh

Moti Baug lies on the campus of Junagadh Agricultural University. This botanic park was developed by Nawab Muhammad Mahabat Khanji III as a tribute to his favourite dog. The range of flowers is dense with bright colours and pleasing. There is a central pond, tall banyan, and other towering trees. Many Junagadh tour packages include a visit to Moti Baug for nature lovers.

Sakkarbaug Zoological Garden

The Sakkarbaug Zoological Gardens, also known as the Junagadh Zoo or just the "Zoo," is a massive zoo in Junagadh that is famous for its purebred Asiatic lions. It is located on Junagadh-Rajkot Highway. The park has many birds and animals, including wild boar, blue bull, deer, and various others. There is also a natural history museum and a veterinary hospital. This is amongst the most visited places in Junagadh.

Shree Swaminarayan Mukhya Temple

Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is a holy Hindu temple in Junagadh, India. Notably, this temple stands on Jawahar Road and is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan, a revered Hindu saint, yogi, ascetic, and leader of the Swaminarayan Sampraday. According to tradition, Lord Swaminarayan himself built the temple and placed statues of many gods inside it. As a result, this temple is an important step in Junagadh tour packages for those interested in spirituality and history.

Uparkot Fort Junagadh

The upper fortress is called Uparkot, and it is east of Junagadh. The walls are over 2300 years old and are up to 20 meters high in some places. There used to be a 300-foot-deep moat inside the walls where crocodiles lived to guard the fort. Neelam and Manek, crafted in Cairo and brought to the fort by the Turks, draw the most tourists. Also, check out the caves and step-wells in the fort building. It is a historic gem among the places to visit in Junagadh.
