The Pradyuman Zoological Park is a famous zoo park near the Lal Pari Lake in Rajkot, Gujarat. It is also famous as Rajkot Zoo. It is a must visit place for wildlife lovers during the Rajkot tour package.

Pradyuman Zoological Park history

Zoological Park came into existence in 1992 near the Aji Dam. The old Zoo faced many drawbacks and was not set up by the central zoo authority. It was decided to relocate the Zoo to its present location in 2010. The Zoo before was famous as Rajkot Prani Sangrahalaya.

About the park

The Zoological Park is also famous as a picnic spot. Many people from the local area love to come here and spend time in nature. The park now has got few basic facilities and seating arrangements. Visitors can also use cameras by paying an extra charge. The Zoo also has a Cafe inside the park.

The Zoo is 137 acres. It is modern as well as naturalistic in India. The Zoo is one of the must among the places to visit in Rajkot. The Zoo is under the maintenance of the municipal corporation.
