Bhadra Tiger Reserve

The Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the significant places to visit in Chikmagalur, and it is a must-included place in any Chikmagalur tour package. The sanctuary spreads over an area of 490 sq km and is situated at a distance of 38 km in the western side of the Chikmagalur town located in the state of Karnataka. The hills of the Western Ghats surround the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary on the sides, and it provides an amazing natural view. The high mountain peaks provide a heavenly view, and the snow-capped peaks look like ascending to heaven. Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary Jeep Safari

As for the safari in Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, both boats and jeeps are available. Mainly, the jeeps are preferred due to the better view of the place. The rates for jeep are 400 Rupees per head, and one jeep can carry six visitors, excluding driver and guide. Buses are also available for safari, and they can carry up to 25 passengers, with per head cost equaling Rs. 300.
