The Buddha Park of Ravangla, also called Tathagata Tsal, stands in the South Sikkim district of Sikkim, India. It is close to Rabong (Ravangla). The authorities built it between 2006 and 2013, featuring a 130-foot (40 m) tall Buddha figure as its main attraction.

Officials picked the site inside the more significant religious complex of the Rabong Gompa (Monastery). This monastery has been a pilgrimage spot for hundreds of years. Ralang temple, an important Buddhist temple in Tibet, is also close by, making it one of the key places to visit in Ravangla.

Architectural Beauty and Spiritual Significance

The 14th Dalai Lama blessed it on March 25, 2013, and it became a stop on the "Himalayan Buddhist Circuit." The figure of the Buddha is here to honor Gautama Buddha's birth date, which is today, April 25, 2550. The government of Sikkim and the people of the state worked together to build and put this statue there. The State government built the Buddhist circle in this park as part of a project. The aim was to attract more pilgrims and tourists to the area. The Cho Djo Lake is inside the complex and is ringed by trees.

The people of Ravangla built this beautiful Buddha Park. It has the most stunning figure of Sakyamuni Buddha, which can be seen clearly from all parts of Southwest Sikkim, close to Ravangla. It is also visible from some parts of West Sikkim. Visitors can enjoy a lot of peace in this park, which has wide paths for relaxing walks and beautiful scenery.

Buddha Park Serene Surroundings

People like to visit this park because it is nice to look at, has lots of quiet fields, and a wide path for people to use. From this spot, you can see the mountains and Cho Djo Lake without any obstructions. Because this place is very spiritually important, the atmosphere itself makes tourists feel even more spiritual. There is a meditation hall, a museum, and a Buddhist gathering close to the park.

The best time to visit

This beautiful park is at its most beautiful from April to June. If you like snow, September to November is the best time to visit. During this time, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the snow-covered Himalayas and the park's bright flowers. You can explore it through Ravangla tour packages for a well-planned trip.
