The Shatrughna temple is on the banks of the Ganga river close to Ram Jhula. The temple is also popular with Shri Shatrughan and Adi Badrinarayan. One of the temples is in Thrissur district of Kerala. The temple in Kerala was built as a devotion to Lord Rama’s younger brother. 

The brother of Lord Ram, Shatrughna, is honored in this ancient shrine. Dasharatha, the ruler of Ayodhya, had four sons, Shatrughna being the youngest. He was born to the king's third wife, Sumitra. Shatrughna's name means "destroyer of enemies."
