Saptrishi Kund is situated close to Yamunotri and requires an exhausting hike. The Champasar glacier feeds this glacial lake, which is half a kilometre long and bordered by stony glaciers.

The best time to visit 

Saptrishi Kund is best visited between April and June, as well as September and October. The summer months from April to June provide stunning views and perfect and safe trekking conditions. Yamunotri is less crowded in the post-monsoon months of September and October. When the weather is mild, and the vistas are spectacular. Avoid hiking during the rainy and winter seasons. The path is dangerous during the monsoon season, and significant snowfall occurs here in winter.
