Upper Ahobilam Temple is where the main shrine, called Ahobaleswar, is located. There are nine Narasimha temples in Ahobilam, but this is the largest one and the oldest. It is the most important place to see in Ahobilam.
The mukha mantapa and maha mantapa make up the Upper Ahobilam Temple. It faces east, but the garbha griha faces north because of how the natural cave's shape is. A dwajasthambam and an ornate Bali pith are next to the mukha mantapa. From the sides and the eastern gate, you can get to the Malola and Jwala Narasimha shrines.
Upper Ahobila's main shrine is in the shape of a big rock that looks like an egg and has mandapas on it. People think that this person is Swayambhu, who shows up to himself. In this picture, the Lord shows up as Ugra Narasimha, who is also popular as Ahobila Narasimha. Along with the main god, a shrine to Chenchulakshmi is also there.
