Shivrajpur Beach & Lighthouse, located on the Dwarka-Okha Highway 12 kilometres from Dwarka (Gujarat), just gained Blue Flag beach accreditation. One of Gujarat's most popular beaches, Shivrajpur Beach, is the perfect destination to spend the weekend with family and kids.

Lighthouse 

A lighthouse is also located close to the shore. Here, in 1720–1721, Maharao Deshalji, the king of Kachchh, erected a tiny fort and the 11-metre-tall Mojap beacon—an unlit black stone beacon—to protect and shelter Kachchhi warships. 

One of the popular attractions to include in the Dwarka tour package is the Shivrajpur Beach & Lighthouse. The first light in this area was a battery-powered flashing light on the top of the cabin, which started in 1977. It came when a Raccoon came into service in 1978. 

In 1983, the current 30-metre RCC structure was constructed, and PRB-21 lighting technology was installed. In 1997, auto headlights with 100W halogen bulbs replaced the imported sealed beam lamps to save energy. The lighthouse was restored after suffering damage during the January 26, 2001, earthquake.
