Astarang or Astaranga is a village located in Puri district in the Indian state of Odisha. Known for its agriculture and fishing, Astaranga is a major exporter of betel leaves, and the local name is paan to North India and other countries. This village is also a part of 'Lavanya Satyagraha' (Salt march) which was led by Mahatma Gandhi indeed.

Apart from the other Places to visit in puri, one should definitely visit Astaranga as well. Often offered in various Puri Tour Packages, one of the major tourist attractions here is the Pir Jahania which is located at the Bay of Bengal. There are various picnic locations here as well, such as Ganga Devi muhana and Nuagarh jethi. Astaranga Beach

It sits around 91 kilometers from the Jagannath Temple and 19 kilometers from the Konark Sun Temple. The beach is slightly different from the other beaches in Odisha in terms of accommodation.
