Bramhagiri Alarnath Temple is a very famous and holy temple located in Odisha. This temple attracts a large number of devotees and the temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath. 

It is believed that the temple was constructed during the rule of Gajapati dynasty. King Kapilendra Deva was a very famous ruler of this dynasty. He was a great devotee of lord Jagannath. It is one of the places to visit in Puri. So, he led to the establishment of the temple. However, after that time, different types of reconstruction and rework happened inside the temple. 

Architecture of the Bramhagiri Alarnath Temple

The beautiful Bramhagiri Alarnath Temple follows the classical Odishan temple layout. Stones and laterite blocks are used for the construction of the temple. The walls of the temple are filled with sculptures. 

The main sanctum of the temple consists of the deity of Lord Alarnath. Lord Alarnath is known as a form of lord Jagannath. There is a tower also which is present inside the temple. The tower is known as Vimana and it is also filled with beautiful carvings.

The dancing hall that is present inside the temple is known as Natamandapa. Here, devotees can come for different types of rituals. The sculptures that are present on the walls of the temple depict different types of celestial beings, god, goddess, and scenes from the hindu Mythology.
