Ananta Varman Chodaganga of the Ganga Dynasty initially constructed the esteemed Temple of Jagannath at seashore Puri dating back to the 12th century. During his reign, he constructed the Jaga Mohan and the Vimana, which are assembly halls and chariots, respectively. Later Anangabhima Deva finished the construction of the Jagannath Temple in 1174 AD.
