What is the story behind Pushkar Lake?

According to legend, Lord Brahma, who made the world, was on a mission to perform a yagna, a holy ritual, for the good of all living things. He did, however, need to find a good place for the yagna, and as he looked around, he came across Pushkar. 

As Lord Brahma looked for a place to do the yagna, he saw a lotus flower fall from his hand. The lotus flower landed in Pushkar. Water sprang up from the ground where it hit, making the beautiful Pushkar Lake. Lord Brahma chose the city as the best place for the yagna because of the beautiful and peaceful lake.

Some people think that bathing in its water can wash away sins and heal skin problems. The best times to visit the Lake

From November to February is the best time to go to Pushkar. The weather is mild during this time, with sunny days and lovely nights. Pushkar has many events during these months, such as the Camel Fair.
