Major attractions
The sacred pipal tree
There is a huge ancient tree here right opposite the sacred sanctum of the South Indian female Deity Padmasini Thayar. There is sacred Gopuram around as well which must be crossed before reaching the ancient tree. As a result of this legend, the site is also famously called by the locals as the Dharbasayanam.
