Badrinath is only a few kilometers away from Sheshnetra, a sacred site. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu retreated on Ananta Shesha as a snake. Thus, a trip to Sheshnetra reminds supporters of this legendary belief. One of the most attractive place to visit in Badrinath is the Sheshnetra.

One kilometer from Badrinath on the opposite bank of the river is Sheshnetra, where the eye of the snake Shesha, on which Lord Vishnu reclines, is seen on a rock. A large stone has the look of this mythical snake written onto it. It claims that Sheshnetra is keeping watch over the holy sanctuary of Badrinath. Sheshnetra is regarded as one of the most prominent sacred sites in Badrinath.

The Sheshnetra is well-known in the religious world. It is also thought that Sheshanetra guards the area and Lord Badrinath's shrine. Aside from this, the area's breathtaking scenery brings in a lot of visitors every year for BADRINATH TOUR PACKAGE.

This location has religious significance, but it also has lovely surroundings and views. A captivating backdrop of two lakes and the gorgeous Alakananda River surrounds this boulder. The granite bears the natural markings of this vital spot.

Best time to visit Sheshnetra

September through November and April through June are the ideal times to visit the Sheshnetra. These are the most pleasurable and most excellent months to travel here. During the winter, this route closes for six months. Here, the winter months bring frigid temperatures.

Because of the copious amounts of snowfall, this location sees exceptionally low temperatures during the winter. Traveling here during the rainy season is challenging due to solid rainfall that could trigger landslides.

The quantity of Badri (Jujube) bushes that thrived in this location gave Badrinath its name. Lakshmi Mata assumed the form of a massive Badri tree to offer shade for Lord Vishnu during his meditations. Badrinath is the last stop on the Char Dham Yatra.
