Bhimkali Temple, Sarahan History
Shri Bhimkali temple, a Hindu temple located at the Sarahan in Himachal Pradesh. And the temple is actually for the Godmother Bhimkali which was the presiding deity of the ruler of the erstwhile Bushahr state.
The proper location of the temple is at a distance of about 180 km from Shimla. And it is one of the 51 Shakti peeths according to Hindu mythology. There is a big museum inside the temple that shows the images of Hindu God and Goddesses also.
According to many legends, there is a believe that it is the area where the Great War between Lord Krishna against demon Banasura took place.
