Chail Palace is run by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Limited (HPTDC). It was built by the King of Patiala, Maharaja Bhupendra Singh as a summer retreat residence during the reign of British in India.
The Chail Palace upholds the pride and glory as well as the charm of Chail. The palace looks traditional with vintage wave with the classic touch of the architecture. It is a remembrance of the royal family of the King of Patiala.
One interesting thing to notice if you are visiting Chail palace is that there is the famous Sidh Baba ka Mandir which is located just 1.5km from the Chail palace, about 8000 m above the sea-level. And surely it is the most romantic places to visit in Shimla.
