Bikaner is a city residing in the northwest of the state of Rajasthan and around 330 kilometres from the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Rao Bika of the Bikaji dynasty founded this city in 1488 CE. Initially being a small state, the development of Bikaner happened, and it became the fourth largest city in Rajasthan. As the city resides in the Thar desert, the temperature here can exceed 48? C, and it gets very little rain, unlike the temperatures in winters when it goes below the freezing point. Bikaner also has a geographical identification for its unique savoury snack Bikaneri bhujia, which is sold all over the world. Bikaner hosts a variety of animals and birds. Major steps have been taken in order to save and bring back a number of vultures. Currently, around 6000 vultures reside at Bikaner indeed.

Laxmi Niwas Palace is now converted into a lavish hotel; people also visit Rao Bikaji's Fort, which is also known as 'Bikaji ki tekri'; Karni Mata Temple is another tourist spot which is situated around 30 kilometres from the city of Bikaner dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. 

The temple is famous for the creatures running around the temple known as Kaabas, Bhandasagar Jain Temple is one of the places which are popular amongst tourists. It is known for its beautiful architecture and mirrorwork. Bhandasa Oswal built this temple around the 15th century. These are just a few places which are quite popular with tourists as well as the locals. There are quite a few picnic places around Bikaner as well, such as the fun factor for kids; the establishment of this theme park took place in 2017. It is famous for its top services for picnic spots, billiard pools, gaming zones, video game parlours and much more. Another picnic place in Bikaner would be the Fun world water park, located under the railway flyover. There are a couple of options to choose from, such as the Camel Safari and the Jeep Safari. Travellers choose the Jeep Safari more frequently than the Camel safari as it provides a much more convenient and comfortable trip to the desert; on the other hand, the Camel safari provides a more original feel of the desert.
