Bikaner Overview

Bikaner is a city residing in the northwest of the state of Rajasthan and around 330 kilometres from the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Rao Bika of the Bikaji dynasty founded this city in 1488 CE. Initially being a small state, the development of Bikaner happened, and it became the fourth largest city in Rajasthan. As the city resides in the Thar desert, the temperature here can exceed 48? C, and it gets very little rain, unlike the temperatures in winters when it goes below the freezing point. Bikaner also has a geographical identification for its unique savoury snack Bikaneri bhujia, which is sold all over the world. Bikaner hosts a variety of animals and birds. The temple is famous for the creatures running around the temple known as Kaabas, Bhandasagar Jain Temple is one of the places which are popular amongst tourists. It is known for its beautiful architecture and mirrorwork. Bhandasa Oswal built this temple around the 15th century.
