The Shri Ram Mandir is a Hindu temple in the temple town of Somnath. The temple exists near the Triveni Sangam Ghat. It is a beautiful temple among the places to visit in Somnath that you should see.
In the same building as Ram Mandir, one can also visit Shri Parshuram Temple. A black figure of Parshuram holding an axe stands in the main sanctum. On either side of him are idols of Kama and Kala. This place has more shrines for Ganesh, Hanuman, and Maa Renuka.
About the Shri Ram Mandir
In honour of Lord Rama, Shri Ram Mandir was built. It was built in 2017 by the Shree Somnath Trust. There are already many holy sites in and around Somnath, but the temple is the newest one. Many Somnath tour packages include a trip to the Shri Ram Mandir.
The temple is beautiful, and the statues of Lord Rama, Sita Devi, and Lord Lakshmana are in the centre. Along with the main shrine are two smaller shrines for Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesh. There are marble figures everywhere.
The mandir is of two floors of pink Bosi Pahanpul stone. It has a theatre and a kirtan hall on the first floor. It also has a theatre with 260 to 280 seats where a big screen will show the life of Shri Ram.
The temple's gate looks like Shri Ram's Dhanushya. You can see the Somnath temple, the Somnath coast, the Triveni Sangam, the Sun temple, and the Gita temples from the bridge outside the temple.
Some exciting things about the temple are:
• A room for kirtan
• Lovely images of Lord Ram
• The entry and parking lot are both wheelchair accessible.
• No need to buy tickets in advance for the temple.
The best time to visit
People say winter is the best time to visit Somnath because the weather is mild and pleasant. The weather is excellent for exploring, and the cool breeze from the Arabian Sea makes the whole place feel even better.
